Study shows coconut oil reduces waistline

A new study has revealed that coconut oil is capable of reducing the circumference of your waist.Coconut oil has long been known to have many health benefits. The study which was carried out on 40 women,involved dividing the women into two groups-one group received a daily dietary supplement of soybean oil while the other received a similar amount of coconut oil.
According to the study, after one week,the group taking coconut oil exhibited a reduction in the waistline while the other group had an increase in cholesterol level.The group using coconut oil had no increase in cholesterol.

Actually,the group that used coconut oil showed;

            1.Increased levels of good cholesterol(HDL) 

            2.Decreased levels of bad cholesterol(LDL)

            3.Reduced waist circumference and abdominal obesity 

 While the group that used soybean oil showed;

           1.Increased levels of bad cholesterol(LDL) 

           2.Decreased levels of good cholesterol(HDL)

           3.No reduction in waist circumference 

Many people believe that saturated fat,of which coconut oil is one of them,causes high cholesterol and heart diseases.This in fact isn’t true.Studies have shown that many people who use unsaturated vegetable oils such as soybean oil have a high chance of getting heart diseases.Yet still,soybean oil makes up more than 60% of vegetable oils and fats people use today.High intake of polyunsaturated fats has also been associated with other health problems such as cancer,weak immune system,liver and lung damage,stunted growth and weight gain.
